Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Medical Writer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who has spent at least two years in a medical communications environment and is ready to take on greater responsibility in content development, client interaction, and project leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of high-quality scientific content including slide presentations, manuscripts, meeting reports, educational materials, digital content, and more.
  • Act as the scientific lead on assigned accounts, providing strategic input and scientific expertise.
  • Liaise confidently with clients, key opinion leaders, and internal teams to ensure the delivery of accurate, insightful, and compliant content.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior writers and contribute to training initiatives.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet internal and client quality standards, timelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ABPI Code of Practice, GPP3).
  • Stay current on therapeutic area landscapes and provide thought leadership within your areas of expertise.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of medical writing experience in a medical communications agency or similar setting.
  • Proven ability to interpret and clearly communicate complex scientific data.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills.
  • Confident in leading client calls and managing scientific discussions.
  • Degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MSc preferred).
  • Solid understanding of industry standards and compliance frameworks.

Desirable:

  • Experience in high-science therapy areas such as oncology, immunology, or rare diseases.
  • Knowledge of omnichannel/digital content strategy and delivery.
  • Familiarity with reference management software and publication guidelines.
