Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical) - Nottingham

An exciting permanent opportunity has opened for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic, specialist building services consultancy at their Nottingham office. This full-time role offers 36.25 hours per week within an agile working framework, blending office and remote working.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical engineering projects, managing design delivery from start to finish
Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project outcomes
Attend principal client meetings and deliver presentations
Mentor junior engineers and oversee their contributions
Maintain high standards of technical excellence in mechanical design
Engage with clients directly, supporting business growth and repeat work
Produce and review detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations
Ensure compliance with relevant British and European standards and Building Regulations
Candidate Profile:
Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (Chartered or working towards) or HNC/HND with relevant experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Relux/Dialux, Amtech, and Revit
Strong knowledge of British and European Standards and Building Regulations
Familiarity with HTM's is advantageous
Professional membership with CIBSE or IET preferred
Understanding of HV/LV systems and embedded generation integration
Experience specifying renewable technologies and working knowledge of BREEAM
Good appreciation of electrical engineering to collaborate effectively
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to learning and development
