Pharmaron is in search of an experienced Senior Manager/ Associate Director / Director in CMC Business Development, who is adept at navigating API development from early to clinical development and manufacturing. This strategic role is tailored for a leader eager to harness Pharmaron's substantial investments in state-of-the-art facilities across the UK, US, and China to expand our footprint across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and implement comprehensive business plans for CMC services, ensuring integration of Pharmaron's extensive capabilities and large capacity.
  • Accountable for European small molecule CMC Business Objectives and Sales Goals.
  • Develop and sustain large client portfolios, applying industry expertise to meet diverse needs and exceed financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with regional Business Development teams, ensuring cohesion and successful achievement of sales targets.
  • Employ superior persuasion and negotiation skills to acquire new clients and maintain enduring relationships.
  • Lead the CMC strategic initiatives, adapting strategies to respond to market trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Act as a high-level representative for Pharmaron at industry events, promoting the organization's investments and cutting-edge capabilities.

Requirements:

  • In-depth experience in CMC, especially with API projects from candidate selection through clinical development stages.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing significant budgets and client portfolios within a global corporate framework.
  • Proven leadership in developing and executing business strategies within complex, matrixed environments.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing decisions and fostering strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Preparedness for extensive travel across Europe as required for client engagement and strategy execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
