About the role:

LifeArc is on a significant journey to drive greater impact for those experiencing rare diseases, and in the global health space. Our newly established Strategic Planning and Performance function plays a key role in shaping our renewed strategies and supporting plans to deliver on our mission, providing vital insights and monitoring of performance.

We’re excited to offer a new opportunity for a data- driven Senior Manager, Performance and Insights to join our team. In this pivotal role, you’ll work closely with the Director of Strategic Planning and Performance, and the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning to drive organisational performance through robust monitoring, insightful analysis, and strategic support to the CEO, Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team.

This role supports the strategic alignment of our performance frameworks, reporting mechanisms and insights to deliver LifeArc’s vision and strategic priorities.

About you:

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing, implementing and maintaining efficient performance reporting and monitoring frameworks and supporting systems and processes across the organisation
  • Preparing and delivering on key performance metrics to senior stakeholders, and reporting to external parties including the Charities Commission
  • Providing actionable insights relevant to LifeArc to support strategic decision making including the use of behavioural, financial and economic information
  • Driving continuous performance improvement through actionable insights
  • Supporting ad-hoc strategic decision making through quantitative support in the form of modelling and analytics
  • Promoting a culture of data driven decision making and insights.
  • Supporting the timely monitoring of organisational performance both in terms of operational and impact, as well as reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with other teams, including risk, technology, finance, IT, PMO and data science, including specifically the Strategic Evaluation and Impact Lead, to oversee and the collection, analysis and delivery of robust and trusted information
  • Leading on the development and communication of timely key strategic reporting including KPIs and against key annual measures internally
  • Leading on the development and communication of timely key compliance reporting to external parties, including regulators, including, but not limited to the Annual Report and Sustainability Report, ESG, working in partnership with other supporting teams including communications, and risk
  • Ensuring coherence and consistency in reporting between science, advisory and operational functions
  • Supporting LifeArc to drive decision making through actionable insights.
  • Driving continuous performance improvement
  • Be a trusted advisor in the provision of strategic analytics and information.

Education & experience required:

  • Degree/master’s level qualification or equivalent
  • Background in economics, behavioural economics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience applying behavioural insights to improve organisational performance or decision-making.
  • Life Sciences/health care industry experience preferred

Skills & abilities:

  • Proven experience in performance management within a similar organisational environment.
  • Strong understanding of KPI frameworks, regulatory reporting, and data governance and experience in developing and successfully implementing these.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in scenario modelling and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and data visualisation.
  • Experience of successfully collaborating, working with and managing teams within a matrix model to design and deliver complex projects and strategic plans.
  • Experience driving data led performance improvement projects.
  • Extensive experience of designing and chairing/facilitating senior stakeholder meetings and workshops.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ensuring adherence to organisational policies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Experience in Board and reporting to senior executive and being able to distil complex information into compelling proposals.
  • Experience representing organisations externally, networking and building relationships.
  • Proven senior capability in programme leadership and a strong track record of project delivery.

Salary will be determined by qualifications and experience along with other exceptional benefits.
