The Senior Market Development Manager, Pharma and Biopharma is responsible for developing and executing demand generation and strategy to support the growth of the Pharma and Biopharma business in EMEAI. As the successful candidate, you must have a strong scientific and business understanding of these markets and be well networked within the associated communities.

You will act as a business owner, analyze key performance indicators, integrate them with your broader market knowledge, and arrive at impactful conclusions that explain observed business results and provide strategic directions to support commercial success.

Further relying on your market knowledge and business analysis, you will develop a creative, multi-channel marketing communication strategy that drives demand, lead generation, and market visibility, while maintaining relevance to external variables such as market trends and competitive positioning.

This position reports to the Director, Marketing & Business Development and is part of the EMEAI commercial organization.

This position will be fully remote in Europe or UK

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Conceive and support the execution of creative, measurable, multi-channel outbound marketing campaigns that address the customer’s buying journey and EMEAI commercial objectives
  • Mentor and manage one direct report
  • Spend time with customers, understand their needs, motivations and help to accelerate deal pipelines
  • Drive participation in regional trade shows, own the creation of market-driven, strategic messaging specific to each event, and be responsible for achieving demand generation targets
  • Prepare data summaries and updates on key performance indicators, competitor strategies, and market trends for commercial leadership, and develop actionable countermeasures to current and anticipated market dynamics
  • Collaborate with the regional marketing team to drive customer engagement and new customer recruitment using established and emerging marketing strategies
  • Identify and leverage effective story-telling opportunities to increase SCIEX visibility and market-share

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant scientific program (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Science) or business (e.g., Marketing) field or equivalent work experience in relevant markets
  • 5+ years working in one or more relevant markets in a sales, marketing, product management, technical or scientific role, including several years of direct experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry
  • Track record of driving complex initiatives across marketing, commercial, and technical teams—from initial planning through to measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience translating strategic direction into commercial action using data-driven approaches

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements (if applicable for role):

  • Ability to travel up to 30% within Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Management of people
  • Market research that informs business strategy, and/or direct customer insights research
  • Advanced use of contact relationship management (CRM) software (e.g., Salesforce)
