Job summary
Would you like to expand your skill sets and join one of the leading antimicrobial stewardship teams? We are on the look out for a senior lead pharmacist infectious diseases to lead, deliver and develop clinical pharmacy services relating to infectious diseases with particular reference to antifungal management. The post offers an exciting step forward for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Antimicrobial Stewardship Team as we commit to developing our antifungal strategy. Antifungal stewardship has grown over the last 3-5 years with the programme becoming part of our wider antimicrobial portfolios of work - clinical, surveillance, governance and policy, education and training and research. The role will interact with all disciplines within infection and wider medical, nursing and pharmacy teams.

Main duties of the job
To lead, deliver, develop and evaluate clinical pharmacy services relating to infectious disaeses with particular reference to antifungal management
To provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters, undertaking risk management and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation
To facilitate and support the efficient and cost effective use of medicines with a particular emphasis on high cost drugs.
To ensure the accurate reporting and surveillance of antimicrobials in line with local and national antimicrobial policy and action plans
To manage, develop, train, motivate and encourage staff working within the team
