The Modelling Team

TheirHealth Economics Modelling teamis at the forefront of model innovation, sought out by clients specifically for their expertise. Whether adapting existing models or developing new ones from scratch, they translate complex clinical and economic data into clear, actionable insights. Their modelling portfolio spans:

  • Cost-effectiveness models (early, global, HTA submissions)
  • Budget impact models
  • Pricing and reimbursement models
  • Markov and individual patient-level simulations
  • Natural history and disease transmission models
  • Complex simulation models
  • National/local model adaptations and reviews


The Role

As aSenior Health Economist, you’ll play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of high-quality health economic models across a wide range of therapy areas. You’ll also lead project teams, support client engagements, and contribute to business growth through thought leadership and mentorship.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the conceptualisation, design, development, and validation of economic models
  • Acting as a technical lead on modelling tasks, both independently and collaboratively
  • Managing delivery of models, technical documentation, and user guides
  • Providing training to clients and mentoring junior team members
  • Driving quality assurance and scientific rigour across deliverables
  • Supporting proposal development, client pitches, and business development
  • Contributing to publications and presenting modelling work externally
  • Supporting internal learning and development initiatives


About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A degree in a relevant scientific or healthcare discipline (postgraduate qualifications desirable)
  • Significant experience in health economic modelling within a consultancy or industry HEOR setting
  • A strong technical skill set, particularly in Excel/VBA; experience in R or other modelling tools is a plus
  • Proven experience managing complex technical projects and client relationships
  • A collaborative mindset with mentoring and/or line management experience
  • A genuine enthusiasm for developing models that support market access and HTA strategy
  • You’ll report to the Principal Health Economist and may have line management responsibilities for junior health economists.
