We have an exciting opportunity for a enthusiastic, skilled Senior Clinical Fellows to join our Respiratory Department at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (LTHTR).

The successful applicants will work closely as part of a dynamic Respiratory team. The department provides Tertiary Respiratory services in Interventional Bronchology, Ventilation, Asthma and ILD to Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The post is to support development of either early middle grade trainees who want to pursue and develop a career in respiratory medicine or for Post CCT trainees who would like develop skill sets in regional services.

Main duties of the job

Duties of the Post:

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust provides Specialised Commissioned Respiratory services for Lancashire and South Cumbria as well supporting our local DGH population.

The Senior Clinical Fellow posts support clinical and academic development for the trainees in respiratory medicine as well as their chosen clinical sub-specialty. The posts' duties include middle grade inpatient care, sub-speciality clinics, general thoracic clinics, delivery of undergraduate medical education and supported research time.

The Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust has a significant transformation project underway and the SCFs will be involved in delivering acute care through the Respiratory assessment Unit and supporting consultant led weekend inpatient ward rounds.

  • Previous Respiratory medicine experience
  • Audit Knowledge
  • Basic Training by an ALS provider
  • ALS
  • Clinical research
  • Experience in Bronchoscopy
  • Experience in Thoracic Ultrasound
