Based onsite at their labs and offices, this multidisciplinary scientific and engineering company are recruiting and keen to hire a Senior Cell Scientist to join their cell processing team. The role involves the development and optimisation of scalable solutions used within automation and robotics for healthcare manufacture. The role is dynamic, and projects can be fast-paced whilst under regulatory constraints. The position will require close work with key customers and that projects adhere to quality and biosafety policies.
Requirements:
PhD (preferred) or MSc in biochemistry, immunology, bioprocessing engineering or similar, with demonstrable experience in an industrial R&D environment working on scalable cell biological applications. Technical expertise with primary human cell culture including blood processing using semi-automated processing equipment. This should include experience in designing relevant experiments and GMP (Good Manufacture Practice). Additional experience with flow cytometry and cell-based assays would be beneficial. Project experience in cell therapy or bioprocessing with a focus in medtech manufacture.
The role requires good communication skills. Your colleagues will be both scientific experts as well as non-scientific engineers. You’ll need to convey ideas and present work so all audiences are able to comprehend.
