Senior Buyer - Manufacturing Business in the Engineering Sector

The successful candidate will play a critical role in strategic sourcing of materials, managing procurement processes, and optimizing cost without compromising on quality.

This Senior Buyer role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency and innovation within the company.

What You Will Do:

Participate in developing and executing procurement strategies.
Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Conduct spend analysis and market research to stay updated on industry trends.
Develop and implement best practices and innovations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of procurement processes.
What You Will Bring:

Proven experience of 5+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, with at least 2+ years in a senior position.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable.
Background working for manufacturing or engineering companies
Additional certification such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) will be an advantage.
Systematic, analytical and problem-solving abilities along with strong negotiation skills.
You will have worked in similar roles such as senior purchaser, assistant purchasing manager, purchasing manager, procurement specialist, senior procurement specialist, technical buyer/ senior technical buyer or senior category buyer
