Senior Microbiologist

Successful FMCG/manufacturing business require a Senior Buyer. Applicants need previous purchasing or procurement experience, MRP/ERP skills and have the ability to thrive in a fast paced production manufacturing setting.

Working from state of the art facilities, the Senior Buyer will work alongside a team of Buyers, Senior Buyers and Planners reporting to a Procurement Manager. An exciting, fast-paced Buyer role will offer you exposure to the end-to-end supply chain and the ability to develop strong and collaborative relationship with supply partners.

The client is willing to consider applicants from any fast-paced manufacturing environment; automotive, aerospace, defence, electronics, FMCG, Food or Pharmaceuticals.

Specific duties of the Senior Buyer include:

Execution of procurement processes and strategies
Supplier relationship management
Investigation of new supply partners
Negotiations
Liaison with colleagues in; NPD, Planning and the Warehouse
Monitor stock and inventory levels in MRP/ERP
Support Procurement Manager in the adoption of best practice procurement techniques

Senior Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:

Purchasing or Procurement experience, as a Buyer, or Senior Buyer
IT literacy - MS Office packages and ideally MRP/ERP
Great communicator and team player
Previous exposure to manufacturing (automotive, aerospace etc)
Comfort working on-site
