Senior Biomedical Scientist - Virology
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our Virology team. This role is based within the Pathology Department at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 7JL. We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £52,488 - £62,978 per annum

Job Profile :
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Biomedical Scientist to join the Microbiology team. As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will support the Chief BMS in providing an efficient and effective service and will work alongside Microbiology team members and leaders to cultivate and maintain a culture in which staff are continuously improving to deliver a high quality, efficient and effective service.
Job Type : This is a full-time, permanent position.
Shifts Pattern : 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Salary : £52,488 - £62,978 per annum dependent on skills and experience.

Key Duties:
Supervise in the sections appropriate and carry out as well as manage the technical and scientific tasks within the team.
Oversee and support equipment maintenance and development of the Quality, Learning and Health and safety Management Systems within designated work area.
Carry out / supervise technical and scientific work in the laboratory under the direction of the Chief Biomedical Scientist or Consultant
Work alongside Microbiology team members and leaders to cultivate and maintain a culture in which staff are continuously improving to deliver a high quality, efficient and effective service
Skills and Experience :
HCPC post- registration Microbiology laboratory experience
Current HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
Working knowledge of ISO 15189 requirements
Comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge of all aspects of Microbiology (especially Virology)
Previous experience in Microbiology of at least 5 years
