Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Analytical Chemist to join a leading Testing company based in the Cambridge area. As the Senior Analytical Chemist you will be responsible for assisting the team leader with people management responsibility for the team on a daily basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Senior Analytical Chemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Highlighting to the Divisional Manager and/or Laboratory Director any significant issues or team accomplishments. maintaining the laboratory equipment in accordance with safety certification and operating manuals.

2. Training and managing progress of lab technicians and junior analysts in the laboratory.

3. To assist in resolving issues or questions, interact professionally with other departments and stakeholders.

4. Preparing and testing samples using OES detectors, ICP and GC.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Analytical Chemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Chemistry related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in an Analytical Chemistry Laboratory.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with ICP, OES and GC. Alongside experience within a CRO.
