We’re looking for a collaborative Senior Account Manager to join our global healthcare practice. This role is ideal for someone passionate about science and storytelling, who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. You’ll support day-to-day account delivery, contribute to strategic planning, and champion the growth of junior team members across a portfolio of high-profile healthcare clients.

The team

As part of the global FleishmanHillard and Omnicom healthcare network, our UK-based international team is the largest of 13 teams in Europe, offering deep, sector-specific expertise and award-winning creativity.

The team are a diverse bunch of collaborative individuals. Strategists, scientists, industry professionals, journalists, advocates and media professionals, all specialists within the healthcare sector. As creative as they are strategic, with a broad spectrum of talents, experiences and expertise which all come together to tackle complex issues and deliver outstanding results for our clients.

The work

We are experts at driving engagement by designing and bringing to life healthcare communications programs that are informed by insight and data-led strategy. We are inspired by developing communications that improve access and uptake of therapeutic and diagnostic innovations and approaches, linked directly to health outcomes.

As a team we’re involved in a range of projects such as internal communications, narrative and message development, brand communications and product launch communications, issues management, medical education, patient advocacy and engagement, market access communications, global and national media relations and health public affairs and policy communications.

Our client portfolio includes a range of therapy areas from CVRM (cardiology, renal, metabolic), rare disease, women’s health, oncology, mental health, AI powered health informatics and health tech amongst others.

Key Responsibilities Include

Client & account management

Lead the day-to-day running of client accounts, ensuring flawless execution and delivery of projects on time and within budget.
Build trusted relationships with clients, acting as a key contact and providing proactive, strategic counsel.
Translate complex scientific information into compelling, audience-relevant content across multiple channels.

Campaign execution

Drive the development and implementation of impactful campaigns that span media relations, KOL engagement, patient advocacy, social activations, digital content, and thought leadership.
Coordinate with creative, digital, and strategy teams to deliver integrated communications solutions.
Support issues preparedness and reputation management efforts as needed.
Contribute to the management of client budgets, overseeing budget development, tracking, billing and communications.
Stay abreast of regulatory environment and ensure compliance in all deliverables (e.g., EFPIA, ABPI, FDA, etc.).

Team development

Champion and mentor junior team members, providing clear guidance, feedback, and support.
Contribute to a positive team culture that encourages innovation, inclusion, collaboration, and high performance.

Business development

Support new business pitches and organic growth by contributing ideas, insights, and content.
Stay up to date on healthcare trends, media landscape, and regulatory developments relevant to client work.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience supporting or interest in health tech clients an advantage, ideally within an agency setting.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech industry, regulatory environment, and key audiences
Confident in handling media relations and stakeholder engagement
Proven experience managing integrated campaigns, particularly across social and digital platforms.
Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Able to think innovatively around the use of AI in communications strategies
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset
Strong attention to detail and project management skills
Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities
Collaborative and inclusive style
