What is the role?

We’re looking for a media savvy Senior Account Manager to join our Consumer Health team and work on leading consumer health and wellbeing brands. The ideal candidate will have excellent media relations expertise and contacts, particularly with consumer lifestyle, wellbeing and health journalists. Counselling clients on media strategy, curating stories and managing a team to generate earned media coverage is central to this role; running a fast-paced press office as well as managing high profile consumer campaign launches. The role also involves managing a range of experts and influencers from KOLs to celebrity talent and conducting research projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on well-known consumer health brands, playing a central role to deliver impactful earned-media strategies and award-winning creative campaigns.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop impactful materials that are tailored to different audiences and ready for delivery
  • Review others’ work and provide clear direction on how content may be improved
  • Use your understanding of the media landscape to target journalists and strategies to gain the best cut-through when selling in, and share media knowledge with junior team members
  • Manage client requests and troubleshoot issues were necessary; this includes advising and managing the team on what is required to resolve them, being the lead go-to person across all account activities
  • Manage medium/larger projects from start to end, including effective time and project management, factoring in senior review, editorial and design
  • Take personal responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects against agreed plans and budget, proactively flagging any changes or delays to clients with solutions
  • Support senior leads in financial oversight and management of projects, including budget trackers, invoicing, budgeting and forecasting
  • Seek out opportunities for organic growth with existing clients and support senior team in the development of new business pitches

What are we looking for?

  • Several years’ experience in consumer health/wellbeing at a consumer or healthcare communication agency
  • Highly skilled in generating media coverage in consumer health and lifestyle media
  • Experience earning the confidence of clients and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Experience developing content for consumer audiences including media materials
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to coordinate workload effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Understanding of and experience in contributing to new business and pitching
  • Enthusiastic to learn new skills as part of a high-performing team
