Our client is a highly respected healthcare agency based in London, they operate across big names in pharmaceutical and consumer health.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a senior healthcare communications professional ready to step into a broader leadership position. As Associate Director, you will:

  • Take full ownership of major accounts, providing strategic oversight and direction.
  • Sit as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to business planning, team development, and agency culture.
  • Lead the development and delivery of integrated, multi-channel communications strategies across media, digital, policy, and thought leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted senior advisor to clients, building long-term relationships at the highest levels.
  • Actively contribute to agency growth through new business, reputation-building, and team development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead major healthcare communications accounts with a focus on purpose-led, high-impact work.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior client stakeholders, ensuring outstanding service and results.
  • Drive the development of integrated campaign strategies across media, digital, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee and inspire multi-disciplinary teams, fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, lead pitch development, and represent the agency externally.
  • Collaborate with fellow senior leaders to shape agency strategy, culture, and operational excellence.

Skills & Experience

  • Substantial experience in healthcare communications within a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Strong strategic mindset with proven success in leading complex, high-profile accounts.
  • In-depth understanding of the UK healthcare and pharmaceutical landscape, including media, policy, and regulatory contexts.
  • Exceptional relationship-builder, confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Inspirational leader with a collaborative approach and commitment to mentoring and team development.
