We deploy cutting edge AI guided enzyme design to create novel functionality and industrially viable biocatalysts.The RoleScindo is looking for a highly driven and talented biocatalysis team leader to lead an exciting project at the forefront of biomanufacturing, based at Scindo's lab in central London. The position will be responsible for leading an exceptional team of biochemists to deliver project milestones. The person will provide technical leadership, project planning, budgeting as well as writing proposals. The team leader will also provide line management for their team members, including performance management and supporting team members in their professional and personal development to build an engaged, productive, and highly motivated team.The candidate must have an exceptional academic background in biocatalysis, and/or relevant chemical catalysis / total synthesis, with strong data analytics and ability in routine analysis (including NMR, LC-MS, HPLC etc.), as well as previous experience in team and project management.Essential Criteria· PhD in chemistry / catalysis / biocatalysis · Experience in catalyst development and transfer to manufacturing· Experience in leading technical aspects of development projects· Experience in project planning, budgeting, and writing proposals· Experience in team management, including hiringIf you are a highly driving problem solver with a passion for enzymes, we want to hear from you!
