Scientist Lab Operations

CK Group are recruiting for a Lab Analyst, to join a company in the Clinical Research industry, working on site in Livingston, on a contract basis for 6 months initially.

This Lab Analyst role is based on site in Livingston, West Lothian.

Lab Technician Role:

Assists in troubleshooting & process improvements to increase data quality, lower costs, or reduce turnaround times to include, updating standard procedures, assisting with troubleshooting. Acts as a technical resource for laboratory staff & support the team in the absence of the line manager. Performs routine data analysis to determine if an analytical procedure is proceeding according to expectations & that the results are within acceptable tolerances. Identifies and documents potential performance errors or otherwise unusual results and escalates to senior lab personnel. Prepares data analysis results for upload to LIMS system under the guidance of senior level staff. Contributes to CAPA investigations, deviations, and resolution.

Your Background:

Bachelors Degree Or equivalent combination of education and experience (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BSc in in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology.). Previous working experience in a regulated laboratory environment. Proficiency with routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics. Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
