BioTalent has team up with a Biotechnology / Cell & Gene Therapy organisation on their search for aScientist IIto join a growing Analytical Team based inBedfordshire, helping to shape the analytical backbone of innovative chemistry and biochemistry projects.


In this position you'll be in the lab, running analytical experiments and diving deep into data that supports development efforts. Your work will be a mix of hands-on research, method development, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration—often across polymer chemistry, immunoassays, and biochemistry.


You will be responsible for:

  • Analytical testing of polymeric affinity reagents
  • Experimental design, execution, and reporting
  • Supporting method development, validation, and quality control
  • Contributing to IP generation and technical documentation
  • Maintaining compliance with ISO13485 standards and good lab practices
  • Using cutting-edge tools such as FIDA, DLS, FTIR, and HPLC


You will bring the following:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, or a related science
  • Ideally, 5 years of experience in an R&D or QC lab
  • Experience with analytical tools like BLI, SPR, HPLC, or UV-Vis
