Assay Development Scientist Ideal Profile:

• Advanced degree or relevant experience in biology, bioengineering, biomedical sciences, or a related discipline
• Expertise in fluorescence microscopy and imaging techniques
• Hands-on experience in assay development within an industrial or product development setting
• Strong understanding of microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

Assay Development Scientist Responsibilities:

• Design, perform, and analyse experiments to advance assay development
• Optimise assay components for integration with hardware and consumables
• Validate assays using pathogenic samples under controlled conditions
• Prepare data for reports, presentations, and internal reviews
• Contribute to lab maintenance, equipment upkeep, and process documentation
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into projects
• Communicate effectively with team members and external collaborators
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality standards, and legal protocols
