Proteomics / Peptides

Linlithgow area

I am excited to be partnered with a small but growing organisation, committed to producing peptides in a more efficient and environmentally friendly manner. Through their proteomics research, they are advancing the production process and making strong progress.

As part of their growth, they are beginning to build out a full scientific team, commercial team and more!

They are searching for an experienced scientist to lead the charge and begin the scientific build out. This individual will be advancing R&D into peptide production. Ideally, we are searching for someone with a background in proteomics / peptides. We are open to backgrounds - whether you come from a CRO, CDMO or an R&D background provided you have experience and a passion for this area.

Given the size of the company, you'll be able to exercise a high degree of freedom and responsibility, manage your own workload, and have a significant contribution to building something new.

Some relevant skills and experience would be:

  • Experience setting up and running LC-MS experiments, NMR etc.
  • Method development and validation could be beneficial
  • Solid-phase peptide synthesis
  • Troubleshoot synthesis and purification issues
  • Optimise yield and efficiency

Desired qualifications:

  • A Bachelors, Masters or PhD in a chemistry field. For those with a PhD, less industry experience is needed
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a GLP regulated lab is beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience adhering to and running QMS
