Nicholas Howard is delighted to be recruiting for an SAP/ERP Architect to join an innovative and successful global medical technology business. We are looking for a highly experienced SAP professional, with strong experience of the SAP ERP space, including leading/supporting new country launches and implementations, ideally within the pharmaceutical, medical or biotechnology industry.

This is a permanent full-time role, working under a hybrid pattern – 3 days per week in the office in West London.

The ERP Solution Architect is a critical member of the IT Corporate and Commercial Systems Team. Working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will guide the business and IT Global ERP teams through system expansion and company growth. The ERP Solution Architect will be responsible for understanding business processes and ensuring a global design template is applied for all regions. The solution architect will be working hand in hand with the EMEA/APAC and NA finance, accounting, supply chain, commercial, and manufacturing organizations and as such shall have knowledge of full end to end international validated SAP system processes. The architect will mentor the business analysts on the core SAP product offering while providing insight on system enhancements, integrations, and other applicable third-party applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex business and systems analysis work; conduct requirements gathering/analysis via information gathering sessions with business users and technical staff. Develop supporting process flows.

  • Conduct analysis of existing business processes; recommend process improvements.

  • Architect and deliver innovative end to end system processes

  • Responsible for providing data expertise and consulting related to operational reporting and analytics.

  • Assist in the evaluation of third-party tools for feasibility and impact to the business.

  • Design and implement integrations between SAP S/4 HANA and external systems

  • Create and maintain business requirement documentation which can include use cases, process flows, and system interface diagrams.

  • Develop comprehensive test plans with users, coordinate test activities and/or help execute test components.

  • Identify and organise the product roadmap for each region.

    Required Leadership/Interpersonal Skills & Behaviour

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with business users and other IT analysts

  • Maintains positive relationships with key internal business customers, Information Technology and SAP functional and technical teams.

  • Builds cross-functional relationships where persuasive skills, negotiation skills, and considerable insight into finance and business operations are required to gain business confidence.

  • Mentor and lead business analysts through the discovery, design, and implementation of system processes.

    Skills/Competencies:

  • Self-sufficient, flexible, and motivated team player capable of managing several activities simultaneously.

  • Ability to work in a deadline focused, dynamic environment, and consistently produce deliverables within agreed upon timelines.

  • Ability to analyse problems and develop solutions accounting for the larger system wide impacts.

  • Excellent, effective communication, influencing, and negotiating skills are critical. Ability to adjust to the audience (Technical, business user, c-level, and anything in between)

  • Ability to analyse business processes, design process improvements, and train business users on the new processes.

  • Ability to read and debug ABAP code

  • Experience with implementing idoc/ALE integration processes

  • Experience with implementing and using SAP API’s and integrating with 3rd party API’s

  • Experience working with integration middleware (MS Biztalk/Azure, Mulesoft, etc.)

    Experience:

  • Relevant experience working with SAP in a BA/Functional/Architect role

  • Experience with S/4 HANA a plus

  • Ideal candidate will have knowledge of least the following SAP systems and processes best practices:

    • Order to Cash

    • Procure to Pay

    • Financial Plan to Report

    • Master Data Management

  • SAP S/4 HANA certifications preferred.
