Planning / Scheduling Manager

We are looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Expert to lead the stand-up and enablement of a newly independent marketing automation capability within a leading pharmaceutical organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can drive implementation, guide internal marketing teams, and support light development and integration work.

Project overview

Historically, the business unit relied on shared Salesforce Marketing Cloud services via the client and an external agency. The team is now building its own standalone environment to manage regional and parent website campaigns. This role will support the migration and configuration of marketing tools, help internal teams become more self-sufficient, and integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM, website assets, and potentially transition functionality from Informatica into Marketing Cloud.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience implementing and managing Salesforce Marketing Cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of email and SMS campaign management within Marketing Cloud
  • Experience integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and external web assets
  • Familiarity with basic development tasks related to automation, scripting, or API-based integrations
  • Previous experience in marketing enablement or guiding non-technical marketing teams on campaign execution
  • Exposure to Informatica and its role in marketing data flow is a plus
  • Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to bridge the gap between technical setup and marketing strategy

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the setup and configuration of a new Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance
  • Migrate existing campaign assets, templates, and data workflows from the clients shared service
  • Integrate Marketing Cloud with the broader Salesforce ecosystem and external website components
  • Provide light development and technical support on automation and integration tasks
  • Enable and train internal marketing team to run their own campaigns effectively
  • Support strategy and execution for email and SMS campaigns
  • Reduce agency dependency by building internal confidence and capability with the toolset

Why this position:

This is a high-impact role where you'll shape the future of marketing operations for a growing pharmaceutical team. You’ll transition a team from dependency to ownership, work with cutting-edge Salesforce technology, and help bridge strategy and execution. It’s a unique opportunity to combine technical skills, marketing acumen, and leadership to build something from the ground up and empower a hands-on, self-sufficient team.
