The Company: Fortress Clinical Laboratory provides high-quality diagnostic testing services, supporting private healthcare providers, clinics, and laboratories across the UK. As we expand our presence in the private laboratory sector, we seek a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to represent a trusted name in clinical diagnostics, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the growth of a forward-thinking, service-focused laboratory. Role and Responsibilities: Sales/Commercial representative Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and opinion leaders in private hospitals, private GPs, clinics, pharmacies, universities, potential partner laboratories etc. Understand client requirements and offer customised solutions to meet technical and commercial objectives. Develop and execute sales plans to achieve targets and quotas. Conduct regular visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to clients. Prepare and present quotations, follow up on leads, and negotiate terms to close deals. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies. Collaborate closely with internal teams including technical support, logistics, and marketing. Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Maintain accurate records in the CRM system and provide regular reports on sales performance Source new opportunities and customers through outbound calls and emails, and visiting potential clients on-site where required. Technical Expertise: Maintain a strong understanding of clinical diagnostics products, technologies, and applications. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies. Knowledge of a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, & Excel to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases. Qualification and Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Business, or a related field (preferred). The Ideal Person for the role: Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the medical, laboratory, or life sciences industry. 3-5 years in a clinical diagnostic testing sales or medical sales role, with a proven track record in selling medical products or services. A background in medical sales is essential. Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, equipment, and procurement processes. Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with healthcare professionals and successfully demonstrate product benefits. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently. Ability to travel as needed within the designated region. Be able to plan, develop and implement sales to meet targets effectively.
