Salary: £40,000–£55,000 base + performance bonus + share options

About the Role

As the business rapidly expands its global sales reach, we are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to champion their sales strategy. You will play a pivotal role in growing the company’s global customer base and directly contribute to revenue growth by shaping how they prospect, engage, and win new business across the bioprocessing sector.

What You’ll Do

Implement Sales Prospecting Strategies

Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to drive high-volume, qualified customer leads into the sales pipeline
Guide new sales leads through every stage of the pipeline

Optimise the Prospecting Process

Use new technologies to automate and personalise prospecting campaigns
Introduce innovative approaches to deliver impactful connections

Track & Report Results

Monitor and report on effectiveness and progress of prospecting campaigns
Use HubSpot to track all sales leads and activity

Engage New Customers

Independently build and maintain strong customer relationships
Deliver persuasive sales pitches showcasing the benefits of our products
Gather and communicate customer feedback to the wider team

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry or a related life science field
In-depth understanding of customer needs in protein assay instrumentation for the bioprocessing industry
3+ years of inside sales experience with a proven record for exceeding targets and driving revenue growth
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
Ability to confidently initiate and develop customer relationships
Proficiency in managing contacts and pipelines with HubSpot
Willingness to travel for customer engagements and industry conferences (UK & Europe)
Experience in a start-up environment highly valued
Prior focus on selling life science instruments or reagents (advantageous)
