Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth initiatives in the UK and European markets. This role will play a pivotal part in driving business development through the promotion of our innovative biological product range. The successful candidate will manage and expand relationships with key customers and partners while identifying new opportunities for application across multiple sectors.


The role requires a strong ability to understand and communicate scientific principles, particularly those related to microbiology, biochemistry, and environmental chemistry, in order to effectively position products and advise clients.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead new business development initiatives to drive growth in the UK and European markets.
  • Manage and strengthen existing relationships with major customers and partners.
  • Promote and advocate for our biological product range across relevant sectors.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to develop targeted strategies for product promotion.
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients, demonstrating the benefits of our solutions.
  • Conduct market research to keep abreast of industry developments and competitors.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network and represent the company.


Skills


  • Proven experience in technical sales or business development, preferably within environmental, agricultural, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of microbiology or microbial products is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective relationship management.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical information.


Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or technical sales.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving growth.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages would be an advantage.
