A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, strong self motivated Sales Engineer to join a leading ISO 9001:2015 accredited supplier of high quality laser, press, welding / fabrication, CNC tube bending and CNC machined parts and products. In return, we offer a highly competitive salary £40K per annum plus realistic bonus.

A company car or allowance will be negotiated depending on your circumstances.

As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for generating income through maximising new business development. You will be based from the Midlands / Staffordshire / Tamworth area, although will be expected to visit clients throughout the week, mostly centred around the Midlands.

The role will involve:

  • Responsibility for achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Producing weekly/monthly forecasting data and sales reports
  • Cold calling/lead generation and prospecting
  • Generating business at senior level
  • Regional planning strategy

The ideal candidate will possess, or be able to demonstrate, the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in engineering business sales, in a sub contract metal fabrication environment, with achieved target sales of 500k per annum
  • Be conversant in all aspects of subcontract engineering, including welding and fabrication technologies
  • Knowledge of multiple industries and associated requirements such as: MOD, Marine, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, Agricultural etc.
  • Ability to manage relationships in such a way to maximise revenues
  • Determined self-starter, with a desire to achieve top figures
  • Full driving licence

The hours of work are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 2pm Friday (40 hours standard)
