GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful and well-known specialist design manufacturer who supplies equipment to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. We are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This is an internal office-based position, located in Evesham, Worcester, so it is preferred you are a commutable distance from the office.

Salary on offer is up to £50,000 per annum, pending relevant experience, plus excellent company benefits.

We also expect this role to develop into an external sales engineer position over time, which would include additional benefits such as a company car, a revised salary package, and commission.

Ideal candidates will be from an engineering or technical background, mechanical, electrical, or related discipline is preferred. Given the nature of our client’s market, it's important that the sales team not only understands the equipment from a commercial perspective but also has a solid grasp of how it functions technically, allowing you to provide informed advice and assess any constraints when enquiries come in.

An immediate start is available.

Sales Engineer main duties:

  • Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and commercial documentation to support the external sales team

  • Coordinate with engineering, service, and project teams to ensure accurate and timely customer responses

  • Handle customer enquiries by phone and email, providing product advice and sales support

  • Maintain CRM records and assist in tracking active opportunities and follow-ups

  • Support the external sales team with the preparation of presentations and proposal packs

  • Develop product knowledge and customer understanding to enable future progression to field sales activities

  • Contribute to the smooth running of day-to-day sales operations and customer communication

    Sales Engineer required skills and experience:

  • Engineering or technical background (mechanical, electrical, or related discipline preferred)

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach

  • Organized, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems or similar platforms is an advantage

  • A willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow into a more senior commercial role over time
