Area Sales Engineer


The Role:The Area Sales Engineer will cover the following areas, DE, NG, S, LN, HU and DN, for this global manufacturer of steam solutions. These steam solutions include valves, pumps, cylinders, boilers, steam traps etc. The Area Sales Engineer will be able to leverage pre-existing relationships as an out and out brand leader and create new project pipeline off the back of this.

Selling to a range of end users, such as Contractors & Consultants, in a variety of sectors (process, manufacturing food & beverage (distilleries are a key market here), pharmaceutical, healthcare, water treatment etc) you will partner with their engineers and procurement teams to design, install, and maintain systems in their premises, some of which are new-build projects. In addition, as an Area Sales Engineer, you will be building relationships with a reseller network, M&E Contractors, and Consulting Engineers. This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically minded sales professional to further their career with industry leading support.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Have a mechanical engineering & sales background
  • Sell an engineering related product into process/production end user environments
  • Have been exposed to meeting customers face to face
  • A confident team player
  • Open to an Internal Sales Professional looking to get into the field who has Mechanical Engineering academic qualifications
  • Full & Clean Driving licence


Salary:£50,000-55,000 DOE + 15% OTE + Car + Pension + Healthcare + Share Scheme + 27 days holiday (+ stats on top)


Candidate Location: Derby, Sheffield, Lincoln, Nottingham, Doncaster and Hull
