What You'll Do:

As a Regulatory Toxicologist in our Product Saftey and Compliance Department (PSCD), you will beresponsible for supporting our regulatory toxicology assessments, interpretation of global regulatory requirements/initiatives and information inquiries regarding regulatory toxicology - all with a focus on REACH. As a highly cross-functional position, regular communications and influence with all business commercial units, R&D, procurement, supply chain, operations, legal and finance will be required.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • A recently qualified scientist with a passion for further developing their Toxicology know-how and applying it to the specialty chemical sector who will:-
    • Support a team of toxicologists in overseeing human, environmental, and physical chemical testing projects with 3rd party laboratories including assessment of new data to meet regulatory reporting obligations
    • Help organise, analyse and interpret test results in preparation for submission to regulatory agencies globally
    • Contribute to the development and execution of product defense strategies
    • Effectively present technical and regulatory information to both internal and external audiences
    • Monitor regulatory and toxicology communications for issues of relevance to PSCD and the business

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Master’s/Ph.D.  in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Industrial or Environmental Health Sciences, or related biologicalscience discipline with an emphasis in Toxicology
  • Some limited toxicology experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical or related industry sector would be a benefit but not a requirement
  • Sound understanding of toxicology principles/practices and the scientific basis for toxicity testing
  • Strong Interest in learning how to design, monitor and interpret data from human health and environmental toxicology testing programs to evaluate and assess risks
  • Strong interest in learning regulatory and data requirements for global new chemical notification dossiers as well as regulatory initiatives including EU REACH
  • Project management experience and results driven
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a global team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and appropriately manage priorities for self and organisation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
