Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the sales strategy and drive the sales process with all business partners, with a particular focus on high priority partners in country.
  • Support the sales reporting and forecasting processes internally.
  • Present value proposition of products and software to all business partner affiliates in territory.
  • Provide input and support the Corporate Account team from a sales perspective.
  • Work with the Director of Sales and marketing team to develop a sales strategy.
  • Manage country affiliates in territory both on forecasting for business; driving sales of new business.
  • Train, educate and support all business partners and affiliates in responding to commercial activities (i.e. tender applications, commercial requests etc.) for the complete range of QMT products, with the focus on the Multichem® product portfolio.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to individual deliverables.
  • Continuously grow relationships with our existing and potential customers, suppliers and internal support team.
  • Provide monthly updates to the Director of Sales on current projects as well as developing a pipeline of future projects.
  • Lead technical support at customer sites for all QMT product portfolio, with a focus on the Multichem product portfolio.
  • Train, educate and support all business partners responding to commercial activities (i.e. tender applications, commercial requests etc.)
  • Carry out problem solving analysis in a timely manner.
  • Provide at customer site (in local language):
    • Application training to customers on QC material and / or software as required
    • Troubleshooting skills
  • Provide front-line customer service, i.e. take phone calls, and reply to emails.
  • Liaise with LGC Technical Services Department to resolve issues.
  • Promote IAMQC software solutions, working closely with the software specialist to support training and to all business partner affiliates in territory.
  • Bring to the attention of Business Development and / or Quality Management areas of risk for products on the market.
  • Circle back to Management on customer feedback and product improvements.
  • Follow up on potential Customer / Technical Communications to end-customers.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture by identifying and driving initiatives to increase the efficiency in the area.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the application of the Quality Policy through daily activities. Maintain vigilance to ensure adherence to the Quality policy and system procedures by promptly reporting noncompliance issues to Management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.


Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10+ year’s commercial experience in the IVD industry.
  • Experience in a regulated laboratory environment is desirable in the following areas:
    • Field Service Engineering or
    • Clinical laboratory scientist role
  • In-depth working knowledge of biochemistry / chemistry and immunochemistry instrument platform technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast moving and changing environment.
  • Ability to perform under pressure is a must for this challenging role.
  • Ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of complex in vitro diagnostic products and services to a sufficient technical level.
  • Flexibility in respect of travel (mainly EU).
  • A track record of sustained sales growth and managing a key clients.
