This role is important to the success of multiple Agriculture Science global projects and is integral to enable delivery against strategic commitments while also supporting key innovation initiatives across R&D.

This role is important to the success of multiple Agriculture Science global projects and is integral to enable delivery against strategic commitments while also supporting key innovation initiatives across R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Sample Processing and Analysis: Execute raw material processing protocols across multiple product types in a fast-paced, dynamic R&D environment, ensuring high standards of accuracy and consistency. Generate, manage, and analyse sample data across internal and external projects, ensuring data is quality-checked (QC’d), and processes/uploaded effectively.
  • Project Coordination: Co-ordinate the planning and analysis of project samples, ensuring adherence to protocols and the generation of high-quality, reliable, and globally aligned data. Communicate key findings and recommendations to project leads and stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage technical knowledge and experience to enhance project outcomes, providing strategic input and problem-solving that adds essential value at project and function level.
  • Safety and Training: Ensure all hazardous and high-risk processes (e.g., liquid nitrogen handling and cryogenically frozen samples) are fully risk-assessed, with staff appropriately trained to operate safely and effectively in demanding lab and field environments. Support with training programs for internal teams, supply chain partners, FutureFarm/Ag Science research locations, Global Procurement and Operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in executing raw material processing protocols across multiple product types in a fast-paced, dynamic R&D environment, ensuring high standards of accuracy and consistency.
  • Practical experience as a technician in potato and oat sample processing.
  • Willingness to learn PepsiCo best-practice methodologies including batch frying, kettle frying, oat sample quality and other specialized techniques.
  • Strong data management skills, capable of generating, handling, and analyzing complex datasets, while delivering actionable insights within tight deadlines.
  • Experience across diverse work environments connected both in field and lab settings.
  • Skilled at building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships, collaborating with key stakeholders to drive project success and ensure seamless execution.
