Quality Engineer 

Circa £40k per annum

Nottingham 

We are recruiting for a Quality Engineer for a manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Nottingham. You will be joining an established team responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet the required standard, identify any non-conformances and ensure any areas for correction or improvement are actioned. In this role you will collaborate with the operations, manufacturing and research and development teams to drive continuous improvement across the companies product line. 

What your day to day looks like:

Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures in line with company and regulatory requirements.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Support the investigation and resolution of quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints.

Perform audits (internal, supplier, and product) and support external audits.

Create and maintain quality documentation, including inspection instructions, reports, and control plans.

Monitor and analyze quality data, KPIs, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Liaise with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the production process.

Support new product introductions (NPI) and change control processes from a quality perspective.

Train staff on quality standards, processes, and tools.

Requirements:

Degree level in a relevant subject, the Sciences or Engineering would be desirable. 

Significant industry experience in quality control.

Experience within a pharmaceutical, medical or biotechnology sector.

Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485 regulations. 

Proficient in Microsoft Office 

Confident communicator, ability to collaborate between teams as well as lead when required.
