QHSE Specialist – Chemical/Pharma Sector If you’re someone who genuinely cares about quality, safety, and getting things right – this could be a great fit. Im working with a small but highly specialised manufacturing business on the Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border who are on the lookout for a QHSE Specialist to join their team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone with a background in quality, health & safety, and environmental systems in a chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing setting. Youll be working closely with the QHSE Manager to maintain and improve the systems that keep the team safe, compliant, and delivering top-quality products. What you’ll be doing: Supporting the running of the quality management system (ISO 9001:2015). Getting involved in internal audits , investigations , and change control . Helping maintain documentation, manage non-conformances and customer complaints. Supporting health & safety programmes – from risk assessments to contractor compliance. Assisting with the day-to-day running of the QC lab and working alongside technical colleagues. Preparing for and supporting external audits. What we’re looking for: Experience in QA and H&S within a fine chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment Good knowledge of ISO 9001 , and ideally exposure to 14001 and 45001 . Auditing experience and a sharp eye for compliance. Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team where you’ll wear a few hats. NEBOSH preferred (IOSH as very minimum) Due to the location of the site, a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential What you can expect in return: Salary in the region of £40,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience 25 days holiday bank holidays Pension life assurance income protection Health cash plan Bonus scheme Employee assistance support Working hours – Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 4.30pm OR 8.30am – 5.30pm Interested to learn more?
