Baxter Thetford is looking for a candidate to work in QC Microbiology Team. You will be responsible for supporting the microbial and environmental monitoring testing required during various stages of the manufacturing of products at Thetford.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain wider exposure in a laboratory for a global pharmaceutical company and is the ideal role for a graduate. You will work closely with other QC Analysts, and work together to ensure we are releasing the highest quality products.

You will work rotating shifts, week 1, 9AM-5PM and week 2, 5AM-1PM and will be eligible for overtime at premium rates of pay.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assisting with testing on various process samples
  • Participates in any required laboratory investigations as required
  • Follows Good Quality Control Laboratory Practices at all times and ensures the work area they are responsible for is maintained in a clean and tidy state
  • Provide support to the supervisor in any reasonable request relating to the laboratory operation

Qualifications

  • Science based degree (preferably in Microbiology/ Biological Sciences)
  • Experience working in a laboratory but not essential as this is more of a support role
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication skills
