We have partnered with a Tier 1 Contractor on a strategic project based near Portsmouth. They are working across all areas of the project. From Earthworks, Civils/ Structural Steel/ Architecture, MEP, HVAC and Fitout.


This is a multi year project, and the client is one of the UK's most prestigious UK companies within Manufacturing where they have invested over £350 million into developing their site.


Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with Standards and Regulations: Ensure that all construction activities comply with relevant industry standards, building codes, and government regulations. Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to prevent defects and errors in construction projects. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify adherence to established quality standards.
  • Quality Control and documentation: Support the creation and evaluation of quality control measures aimed at verifying compliance and detecting and rectifying construction defects. This involves the developing and implementing robust Inspection & Test Plan, Quality Sign-Off, and Quality Hold Points, with a focus on overseeing the execution of the inspection process.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve construction processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Propose and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
  • Supplier and Contractor Quality Management: Establish and manage relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure the quality of materials and workmanship. Review and approve supplier and contractor quality plans.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the awareness of quality standards among project teams and contractors. Ensure that all project team members are knowledgeable about and committed to quality requirements.
  • Risk Management:Identify and assess quality-related risks in construction projects. Develop strategies to mitigate and manage quality risks throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications:


  • Have spent a minimum of 5 years working on Major Civils and Construction build projects with end clients being Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Shed Building or Highways.
  • Have Lead Auditor Qualifications for ISO 9001 and ideally internal auditor for 14001 and 45001.
  • Be a Practitioner member of the CQI with a willingness to achieve MCQI CQP.
  • Experienced working directly with client Construction Assurance teams.
  • Willing to work 5 days a week on site.
