Due to their continued success and expanding portfolio, they are seeking a proactive and driven Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of 1-3 laboratory fit-out and refurbishment projects at any given time.

They work with a diverse range of clients across research, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and academic institutions, delivering technically complex and highly regulated spaces. The Role:

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of multiple laboratory fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically running 1-3 sites simultaneously. You will be the key point of contact for clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, meeting the specific requirements of laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of laboratory fit-out and refurbishment projects from inception through to final handover.
Develop and manage detailed project programmes, ensuring key milestones are met across multiple sites.
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the projects, including design liaison, procurement, site management, and commissioning, with a strong understanding of laboratory-specific requirements (e.g., containment levels, specialist services).
Manage and effectively communicate with site teams and subcontractors across multiple locations.
Maintain strong working relationships with clients, design teams, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication for each project.
Proactively identify and resolve any project-related issues or challenges across your portfolio of sites.
Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial targets are achieved for each project.
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and laboratory-specific safety protocols across all sites.
Produce regular project reports, providing updates on progress, risks, and opportunities for each project under your management.
Manage variations and ensure they are accurately documented and agreed upon for each site.
Ensure the quality of workmanship meets the required specifications and the stringent standards of laboratory environments.Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction or fit-out sector.
Specific experience in laboratory fit-out and refurbishment projects is highly desirable.
Demonstrable experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
A strong understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and ideally, laboratory-specific requirements (e.g., cleanrooms, fume cupboards, specialist gases).
Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively across multiple sites.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to effectively lead and motivate site teams across different locations.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, including those for laboratory services.
A proactive and problem-solving approach.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality, particularly within regulated laboratory environments.
Relevant CSCS card.
Valid UK driving license with the ability to travel between sites.What's On Offer:
