My Client who is a leading manufacturing in their field is seeking an experienced Project Engineer / Production Engineer to join their team due to continued growth.

This role manage the introduction and co-ordination of new customer projects and improvements to existing production processes.

Production Engineer Requirements:

Experience in a manufacturing environment essential
Experience of working with manufacturing ERP systems essential.
Experience in process improvement and/or continuous improvement essential.
Experience of working to and meeting ISO 9001 (2015) requirements or equivalent advantageous.
Relevant Engineering qualifications
Full UK driving licence required.

Production Engineer Duties:

Work along side the Senior Projects Engineer (SPE) and support the Design & Commercial Engineer on project objectives (new, development of existing products and the introduction of new processes).
Manage and co-ordinate other associated Departments, namely Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Sales in respect of project administration.
Manage both Production and Quality Departments to drive improvements in process for existing customer products in an agreed time scale.
Liaise, where necessary, with Customers and Suppliers to provide relevant information to enable efficient project implementation.
Prepare reports for the New Product Implementation (NPI) team in respect of project status and collate relevant information.
Ensure the provision of full, detailed, and accurate specifications to assist in the establishment of relevant Processes and Procedures by Engineering / Production.
Ensure strict control of all relevant project documentation.
Manage samples process both internally and to customers ensuring accurate documentation is available on our system to support.
Acquire product and process knowledge to allow the setup of relevant BOMs and Routing
Engagement with the introduction and development of both the current and potential new ERP System(s).
To review BOMs / Routing on existing products to record any changes required due to modifications or product enhancement through efficiency improvements.
Work with Technical Sales team in the provision of costs / prices on both existing products and new projects.
Assist in the evaluation of quoted prices for customer products vs actual costs in Production.
