We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to support the management and execution of projects throughout the full project life cycle from initiation to closeout. The projects will include a diverse mix of capital and expense projects on Process, Utilities and Automation/IT (AIT) systems. The successful candidate will have frequent exposure to senior management as they execute projects that shape overall strategy and transform the site into a best-in-class Biopharmaceutical facility

Responsibilities:

  • Project engineering of the Works.

  • Delivery of a portfolio of small – medium sized projects in accordance with the company project roadmap throughout the project lifecycle ensuring governance to current engineering standards and compliance with CDM regulations.

  • Strict GMP compliance to be adhered throughout the lifecycle of the project.

  • Coordination with the Principal Contractor and all other project team members to ensure completion to schedule.

  • Project management services to oversee the completion snags and any construction defects identified.

  • Project management services to oversee the completion of any installation, commissioning and qualification by liaising with the vendor, company Validation and any other company teams.

  • Weekly project progress reporting to the company Portfolio Manager.

  • Weekly project reporting to the PM Group/company Alliance Manager

    Deliverables:

  • Management of project scope

  • Coordination of key contractors and elements of work

  • Liaise with and manage key stakeholder expectations

  • Monitor project budget and provide accurate monthly reports

  • Attendance at daily update meetings

  • Ensure compliance with all HSE & CDM requirements

  • Ensuring compliance of project delivery with GMP requirements and company UKSL SOP’s

  • Develop and updated project schedule defined appropriately according to project stage-gate

  • Identify, record and monitor project risks, seeking escalation where required

  • Resource plan, where required, to include company resources; and to provide timely communication of when input of resourcing is required.

  • Other Deliverables in-keeping with the role of project engineer

  • Degree in a relevant science/engineering discipline

  • Junior to intermediate level Project Engineer/ Project Manager with experience in managing cross functional teams, delivering complex Manufacturing Facility and processing projects, in a highly automated GMP production environment

  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and execute projects from initiation to completion

  • Full project lifecycle experience from end to end design through to C&Q and handover

  • Understands project management process; programming, scope development, design development, implementation and project closeout

  • Excellent communication / organisation skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation from project teams to site leadership team

  • Execution/adherence – demonstrated record of on time delivery

  • Demonstrable record of delivering right first time handover of documentation.

  • Ability to work with end user on developing operating procedures, maintenance & calibration plans,

  • Strong understanding of the principles of Good Manufacturing Practices

  • Experience using SAP and budgeting tools
