Nuvonic is the innovator in sustainable UV technology for water, air and surface disinfectant on a global scale. Our mission is to support nature’s purity with science by protecting people and processes from harmful contamination. Employing more than 180 people globally, the group lead in the design and manufacture of Ultraviolet disinfection technology for a wide variety of applications. Products range from standard to custom engineered solutions involving chemical, light science, electrical and mechanical engineering and are distributed globally.
Products are supplied to a wide range of customers including Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, Danone, Samsung, Pfizer, Kraft Foods, Astra Zeneca and Wartsila, among many other leading brands.
Operations are based in the UK, Germany, USA and China, and focuses on three value streams:
UV Lamps, based out of Slough UK, lamps have been at the heart of our business since 1924. Design and production of our own UV Lamps gives us control over the critical component at the heart of our products and gives strategic advantage over our competitors.
Water disinfection, displacing chemicals in water treatment in many applications such as: food and beverage production, pharmaceuticals, aquaculture, marine, drinking water and wastewater.
Air and surface disinfection, treating conveyor belts in production environments, cooling units, and air supplies.
The Role
The position, based in Slough UK, will be working as part of the senior team within the operations function. Overseeing a production team of up to 25 people, responsible for producing Electrical Control Cabinets, Pressurised Water Vessels and testing all manufactured equipment to ensure requirements are met. There is an emphasis on team development, with people, quality, and sustainability at the centre of everything.
You will be responsible for:
Managing and planning production resource levels to drive efficiency and meet financial targets
Review and monitor production progress to ensure on time delivery
Ensure products are produced to required quality standards
Leading managing and developing employees through structured performance management
Using LEAN practices, improve production techniques, driving efficiency and reducing waste
Implement a culture of continuous improvement, creating an inclusive environment for the team
Recruitment of staff members to ensure capacity requirements are met
Management of staff holidays, sickness, and all other HR related issues
Monitoring production KPI’s to drive improvements through implementation of best practices
Manage calibration of all shop floor tooling
Ensuring excellent levels of Health & Safety are both implemented and followed
Maintaining high housekeeping standards
The Individual
We are looking for a leader with a successful track record in Production Management. You will be a driven self-starter who is looking to make a difference.
You will need to have / be:
Degree or equivalent in engineering or related field
Data driven with strong analytical skills
5 years + in manufacturing
Strong knowledge of ERP systems
Strong & proven leadership skills
Able to work in a pressurised environment
