Job Title: Senior Production Maintenance Engineer

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Production Maintenance Team leader

Key Responsibility:

  • To maintain Bard Production assets in a condition that is suitable to produce and package pharmaceutical products. Both reactive and planned maintenance tasks will be assigned by the Production Maintenance Team leader and documented using the Bard Computerised Maintenance Management system.

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance of production equipment (full range of manufacturing and filling and packaging equipment) in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice, in order to maintain performance and compliance whilst minimising production downtime.

  • Ensuring all maintenance work carried out is correctly documented and recorded in accordance with company procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement using problem-solving tools in accordance with company CI initiative to eliminate waste, improve reliability and reduce costs.

  • Providing technical support for process investigations and technical setup of production equipment using equipment knowledge and engineering craft skills to enable resolution of process issues and improve setup.

Experience:

  • Previous work in a regulated industrial environment.

  • Competent in the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance of a wide range of industrial equipment.

  • Proven track record of applying maintenance skills in a regulated industrial environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Engineering craft skills and fault-finding capability. Knowledge of industrial equipment and control systems. Good communication skills. Knowledge of Health and Safety and GMP requirements.
