Are you a seasoned safety professional with a strong background in process safety within a highly regulated manufacturing environment? Do you thrive on leading from the front, driving cultural change, and embedding best-in-class safety standards?

We’re recruiting for a Process Safety Lead to join a forward-thinking, global manufacturing business based in the South West!

This is a critical leadership role that will see you influence and shape the safety strategy across a complex and high-performing site.

You’ll take ownership of all process safety management activities, ensuring compliance with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements. You'll work collaboratively across engineering, operations, and compliance teams to embed a proactive safety culture and deliver sustainable safety improvements.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of the process safety strategy.
Drive compliance with COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX, and other relevant regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, HAZOPs, and safety studies across key processes.
Influence operational teams to embed robust safety behaviours and practices.
Support incident investigations and drive root cause analysis.
Liaise with external regulators and ensure documentation is audit-ready.
Mentor and coach teams on process safety awareness and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a process safety or related leadership role in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, or medical devices).
Deep understanding of COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX, and process hazard analysis techniques.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent safety qualification preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
A proactive and strategic mindset with a passion for safety excellence.
