We are offering a rewarding opportunity for a self-motivated professional to drive a step-change in Process Safety and COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) management across a leading energy organisation.

As a Process Safety Business Partner, you’ll work closely with the Process Safety Manager to coach, mentor, and lead improvements across terminal and depot operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, values structure and is excited to drive change. Key Responsibilities

Coordinate key process safety activities, including HAZID assessments, MAH reviews, gap analyses, and Bow-Tie assessments.
Collaborate with Terminal Managers, Engineering, HSE, and Operations teams to ensure compliance with COMAH regulations and internal safety standards.
Lead the coordination of Management of Change (MOC) documentation and Operational Risk Assessments (ORA).
Support internal process safety meetings and incident investigations, ensuring effective communication of lessons learned and implementation of corrective actions.
Contribute to robust site induction programmes, clearly outlining COMAH and process safety expectations for visitors and contractors.
Maintain and update Incident Response Plans, MAH reports, and other critical process safety documents.
What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an enthusiastic safety professional with a proactive mindset and a collaborative approach. You should be capable of working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Essential Skills and Experience

Relevant safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Process Safety Certificate, or equivalent).
Experience in process industries such as oil & gas, tank storage, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG.
Knowledge of COMAH, DSEAR, ATEX, PUWER, functional safety (SIL), machinery safety, and hazardous area classification.
Solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and associated ACOPS/guidance.
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Flexibility to travel across sites, with a mix of remote and in-person collaboration.
Desirable Qualifications

NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it.
Tech IOSH membership or higher.
Familiarity with HAZID, HAZOP, Bow-Tie, LOPA, FSA, ORA, and MOC tools.
Experience managing process safety incidents within COMAH-regulated environments.
