Job Description

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Develop novel video coding algorithms and solutions for next generation video codecs improving compression efficiency and enabling new user experiences.
  • Participate in hands-on research work and contribute to standardization
  • Initiate and create research ideas as well as contribute to research work that leads to technology transfer, publications and Intellectual Property.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • At least a Master’s degree, a PhD degree (preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience on algorithm development in video coding
  • Strong background and knowledge of image and/or video signal processing and compression, including latest video coding standards, such as HEVC and VVC.
  • Strong mathematical and theoretical skills.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience of international standardization is considered a significant benefit.
  • A track record of patent creation and publishing in scientific journals in the fields of video/image signal processing and compression.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills in English along with excellent technical and scientific writing skills in English.
  • Knowledge on 360-degree video/image processing.
