Are you energized by the challenge of shaping and accelerating the scientific expertise of a biology program? If so, this Biology Manager opportunity could be an exciting opportunity to consider.
As Manager of Biology, you will be responsible for providing advanced biology expertise to the biology group and developing and mentoring a small team of biology professionals.
This role offers the opportunity to lead key activities that will advance your career, including:
Developing and enhancing biology analytical platforms and technologies.
Building scientific expertise through training and supervising the biology team to support current and future discovery requests.
Collaborating with discovery teams to identify project needs and develop experiments to address project questions.
Determining scientific approaches and transferring optimized methods to contract research organizations.
Developing and applying industry tools for studies.
Maintaining thorough documentation to ensure data integrity.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
PhD in a scientific discipline (e.g., Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology).
4+ years of experience in translational and biomarker development, neurodegeneration, and bioinformatics tools for large-scale data interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in bioassay development, flow cytometry, sequencing technologies, extracellular vesicle isolation, iPSC culture, and emerging technologies.
Experience in human systems, cell and molecular biology, and analytic methods.
Knowledge of disease mechanisms, pathways, and translational research for biomarker development.
Evidence of scientific innovation through publications, patents, or presentations.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience with clinical trials and regulatory guidelines.
