Responsibilities

As a Principal Process Engineer you'll be responsible for carrying out conceptual and detailed designs for complex building services systems in complex facilities in the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
You'll also be responsible for leading the Process team on projects, coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project management to deliver high-quality projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
You will be part of a talented, supportive, and friendly Process team working across the UK and globally; working in a truly multi-disciplinary environment with engineers and project management personnel to deliver high-tech facilities.
You'll also assist with bids and tenders as well as providing coaching and mentoring to early careers engineering professionals.
Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.
Chartered member of a Professional Engineering Institution, such as IChemE.
Suitable level of experience within process engineering, professional services, and/or consultancy.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, trouble-shooting, root cause analysis, and risk assessments with a strong attention to detail.
Strong awareness of the relationship between process design scope and overall project commercial performance, including the ability to undertake value-engineering exercises.
Self-motivating, self-organising, reliable, with a professional approach and demeanour. A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, environmental protection, and business.
Experience working within the framework of and adhering to an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Experience in biopharma/pharma and/or food sectors is preferred.
Must have the ability to adapt, multi-task, and prioritise when necessary.
Display a positive outlook and approachable manner.
