This is a new role, designed to grow and develop IQVIA’s delivery capabilities in primary market research. The pace of change in data handling is fast, IQVIA is at the forefront of a lot of this development, particularly in AI-enabled tools. We seek senior leaders to join our delivery teams who have a vision for the future of research delivery and understand how to modernise, future proof and innovate for the next generation of data capture and insight delivery.
The postholders would be responsible for steering either the Project Management or Production teams, which are fast growing business units, responsible for supporting multiple onshore delivery teams. Responsibility would include identifying and deploying the latest processes, tools and techniques, designing and hiring team structures, ensuring team performance in terms of utilisation and harmony, and delivering and implementing mitigation plans for any challenges identified and identifying areas to grow the business. These roles are pivotal to the development of a state of the art delivery team, future proofed to meet client needs.
It is expected that the postholders will have significant experience of bringing innovation and change management to delivery teams and have a deep understanding and experience in the data management and market research industries.
Core activities of the role include: Innovation Identify and deploy new ways of working and process improvement
Evaluate and support the development of (internally or externally) new tools and technologies to support improved ways of working
Build strong relationships with client facing teams to understand and anticipate future needs of clients and pivot team build accordingly
Effective deployment, implementation and measurement of new ways of working
In touch with industry trends, providing a perspective on future needs and how to meet them

People strategy Ensure team has a growth mindset and embraces new ways of working
Build appropriate team structures to deliver on new ways of working and ensure appropriate hiring and management of talent is in place
Actively develop and support IQVIA initiatives to ensure a good team culture and wellbeing
Identify and deliver training needs and any support requirements for the team
Build and deliver on team people plan using tools such as the regular employee pulse survey
Be responsible for key day to day needs of the team and the business, e.g. work closely with resource management, look for areas of collaboration with other teams

Operational excellence Ensure business has continuous focus on operational excellence and delivery quality measures
Understand needs of onshore teams to ensure effective support structures are in place

This is an exciting opportunity to bring new thinking and innovation to a significantly sized and growing team at IQVIA. It is a high-profile role for the right candidate, and will require close collaboration with support functions such as RBU management, business operations, HR and resource management.
Experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years working experience, with at least a significant portion in service firms (e.g., Consulting, Primary Market Research and / or support services for CROs)
Demonstrable experience in evaluation and successful deployment of new ways of working
Knowledge of different tools for project management and market research (e.g. Q, SPSS, Confirmit, etc) and vision for where and how AI enabled tools can fit (e.g. automated coding, chatbot-led prompting etc)
Good financial acumen and strong attention to detail
Extensive experience in commercial business management, demonstrated through team leadership and meeting growth targets
Demonstrable experience managing a significantly sized team and delivering a good working culture
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high level of innovation
Excellent networker, strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal leaders and external clients
Ability to influence and lead through example
Desirable experience managing large cross-functional teams based across geographic time zones
