Advanced Resource Managers are currently supporting a long-standing client in their search for a Principal Biostatistician - EMEA on a contract basis. Our client is a leading contract research organisation dedicated to improving patient health and advancing medical research. They support life sciences companies through all phases of clinical trials, from early development through to post-market support, enabling critical scientific advancements. The Principal Biostatistician will guide project teams, oversee statistical analyses, and contribute meaningfully to clinical development projects.

Responsibilities:

• Act as lead statistician on projects, conducting meetings, managing timelines, and assessing resource needs
• Prepare and manage project budgets while ensuring SOPs are followed and documentation is up-to-date
• Collaborate with programmers and data managers on database maintenance and analysis structure
• Design statistical analysis plans, including sample size calculations, randomisation schemes, and efficacy-focused tables
• Guide and mentor junior statisticians, reviewing and validating their work
• Interact with project sponsors on study progress, statistical elements, and communicate changes in project scope
• Prepare, review, and contribute to statistical reports, ensuring consistency and completeness

Requirements:

• MS/MA in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or related field, with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience (or equivalent)
• Strong proficiency in SAS programming and database structures
• Proven leadership in managing multiple projects and/or team members
