Principal Biostatistician – EMEA Respiratory Group

We are currently seeking a Principal Biostatistician to join our diverse and dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and analyzing clinical trials, interpreting complex medical data, and advancing innovative treatments and therapies.

You will be part of our large pharma account group within the Full Service model, working across multiple projects with a strong focus on respiratory studies.

Key Responsibilities: Serve as the lead biostatistician for study programs, submissions, or individual studies of varying complexity. Oversee statistical activities that support ICON’s interactions with clients and regulatory agencies. Review and approve the statistical methods sections of study protocols, statistical analysis plans, and contribute to statistical input in reports. Prepare and approve research proposals and budgets, providing statistical consulting and conducting analyses for clients. Participate in bid defense meetings and present at marketing meetings with prospective clients.

As the lead biostatistician for study programs, submissions, or individual studies of varying complexity, you will play a key role in designing and analyzing clinical trials, interpreting medical data, and advancing innovative treatments in the respiratory sector within the Full Service model.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead biostatistician for study programs and submissions, overseeing statistical activities supporting interactions with clients and regulatory agencies. Review and approve statistical methods sections of study protocols and analysis plans, contributing statistical input in reports. Prepare and approve research proposals and budgets, providing statistical consulting and analysis for clients. Participate in bid defense meetings and present at marketing meetings with prospective clients.

Your Profile:

Master’s degree or . in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a biostatistician in the clinical research industry. Strong leadership experience, particularly as the functional lead for statistics and programming on phase 3 studies. Expertise in estimands or study design. Experience in handling missing data and applying multiple imputation techniques. Respiratory experience is a plus.
