If you are interested in a career in Pharmacy within a hospital environment, this opportunity may be suitable for you.
The Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician will learn to perform duties of a hospital-based Pharmacy Technician under the support and guidance of Pharmacy Staff.
As a Pre-Registration Pharmacy Technician, you will complete workplace competencies and the Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice, delivered by the University of East Anglia.
Initially based in the dispensary, you will develop foundational skills including receiving prescriptions, labelling and dispensing medication, accuracy checking, patient counselling, and delivering excellent customer service.
You are required to attend all study days at the University of East Anglia, which includes refraining from taking annual leave on designated study days.
All evidence requirements must be completed and uploaded to your online portfolio before the submission deadline, with comments received from your Educational Supervisor prior to submission. Use your study time effectively and complete additional study at home as necessary.
The goal is to achieve the Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice to become eligible for registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
